SV Hotel is expanding and taking over operations of six Marriott International hotels in Germany

Dübendorf, February 13, 2025 – With this takeover, SV Hotel is significantly expanding its role as a leading operator of Moxy and Residence Inn hotels in Germany. The agreement with the international real estate organisation Vastint includes four Moxy Hotels and two Residence Inn by Marriott properties in Berlin, Dortmund, Dresden and Essen. SV Hotel is thus expanding its portfolio from 23 to 29 hotels and strengthening its presence in the German market in the long term.

Nico Giovanoli, Managing Director of SV Hotel Germany, expressed his enthusiasm: “This milestone is a clear signal of our growth trajectory and, at the same time, a wonderful confirmation of our expertise in operating Moxy and Residence Inn hotels. Strategic growth in new markets

For SV Hotel, this expansion marks an ideal addition to the existing portfolio: “These hotels are located in cities where we have not been represented before. The newly added hotels are characterized by their consistency: almost all buildings are less than three years old and offer a high degree of standardization. The concepts of the Moxy brand and the dual-brand combinations of Moxy and Residence Inn are modern concepts tailored to the different needs of guests. In geographical terms, the new locations meaningfully complement the existing portfolio: the new properties in North Rhine-Westphalia expand the accommodation option around the Moxy Düsseldorf City, while the Moxy Dresden Neustadt is an ideal addition to Stay KooooK Leipzig.

Further hotels in the pipeline

SV Hotel will continue to grow dynamically in the coming months. With the opening of the Stay KooooK in Munich planned for May, the company will now open the second property of its own brand Stay KooooK in Germany. Another new opening will follow in December with the first Moxy hotel in Zurich. In addition, further hotels are in the pipeline for 2026.

Focus on collaboration and shared values

The agreement with Vastint was concluded with the aim of integrating the existing hotel teams into the SV Hotel family. “From the outset, it was important to us that the appreciation we live by at SV Hotel is shared by Vastint. After all, employees are our greatest asset in the hotel industry. This provides us with the security to successfully shape the transition together. We look forward to the expansion and to many new, motivated team members,” emphasizes Nico Giovanoli. The takeover of the six hotels will take place in April 2025.
