Just over a year after Markus Binkert assumed office as CEO, SV is now aligning its organisation in a targeted manner with the strategy developed for the coming years.

Daniela Corboz to lead Business Catering Switzerland

Until now, Business Catering Switzerland was managed by the CEO in a dual role. Going forward, the division will be strengthened with a dedicated leadership position to create clear accountability for the next phase of development. By appointing Daniela Corboz, SV gains a proven leader to head Business Catering Switzerland. Corboz is currently CEO of the SBB subsidiary Elvetino, which employs around 650 people operating restaurants and bistros in long-distance and international passenger transport. In this role, she is responsible for the company’s strategic development as well as its operational management in a complex, high-traffic environment.

Daniela Corboz has a broad professional background at the intersection of hospitality, marketing, communications, and corporate development. She began her career in gastronomy and hospitality before moving into communications and marketing roles, including positions at Compass Group. With her many years of leadership experience, strong understanding of guests and clients, and strategic perspective, she brings ideal qualifications to guide Business Catering Switzerland through its next phase of development. Daniela Corboz will join SV in May.

Franziska Kuhn to take over Public Restaurants from Marcel Meier

Independent of the organisational adjustments, Marcel Meier has decided to leave SV in the summer to pursue a new professional challenge. He assumed leadership of the segment Public Restaurants in 2022 and led the business unit through a demanding market environment. Under his leadership, the unit was stabilised economically and further developed organisationally. In recent years, he set important impulses for the expansion of the division and was responsible for key mandates, including the Swiss Life Arena and the expanded engagement at the Rhine Falls.

Marcel Meier will move to the Migros Zürich cooperative, where he will take over the management of the Gastronomy Directorate as a member of the Executive Management. Until his departure, he will still oversee the Ice Hockey World Championship in May at the Swiss Life Arena.

He will be succeeded by Franziska Kuhn, who will assume leadership of the unit Public Restaurants. Franziska Kuhn has been with SV since 2009 and has built an exemplary leadership career within Business Catering Switzerland. After starting as a Restaurant Manager, she took on various leadership roles, including Account Manager and Business Director School. Since 2019, she has been responsible for Regional Management and in 2023 assumed leadership of the approximately 300 Business Catering Switzerland sites.

In this role, Franziska Kuhn significantly shaped SV’s largest business unit. She has been part of the extended Executive Management in recent years and played a central role in organisational and operational development. With her many years of leadership experience, strong process orientation, and clear focus on quality and the guest experience, she brings ideal qualifications to further develop Public Restaurants in its next phase.

Jörg Rutschke to join the Executive Management of SV Group

Jörg Rutschke has been Managing Director of SV Deutschland since 2018 and has played a key role in shaping the development of the German business. In line with the Group’s strategic direction, the German business is to be even more closely integrated into group-wide leadership and steering going forward. Germany is a key growth market for SV. By appointing Jörg Rutschke to the Executive Management on Group-level, cross-border collaboration will be further strengthened and the strategic importance of the German business within the Group underlined.

Targeted organisational development

With these personnel changes, SV is expanding its Executive Management and consistently aligning its leadership structure with the strategic objectives of the coming years. “With SV Strategy 2030, we have defined the strategic direction for the years ahead. With the personnel decisions taken and the new leadership structure, we are strengthening both the entrepreneurial responsibility of our business fields and key steering functions in Switzerland and Germany. This is the logical next step in the successful further development of SV,” says Markus Binkert, CEO of SV Group.
