The heartbeat of SV

Our values

Our values are an expression of SV’s identity and part of our corporate culture. They give us direction and demonstrate what we stand for. Our values find tangible expression when each and every one of us embodies them in our day-to-day work: in our interactions with each other, our guests, our customers, our suppliers and our partners. Together, they constitute the heartbeat of SV.

Cordial

People are at the heart of everything we do: this means our guests, customers, colleagues, suppliers and partners. We treat each other with respect, take the time we need for each other and are always cordial, even in periods of stress. Those who work for us help make others feel welcome and in good hands.

Specific examples in an everyday context:

  • I greet guests cordially and am attentive to their needs, even when things are busy.
  • I take the time to explain a matter clearly or to provide help.
  • I help my colleagues when they are under pressure, even if it is not “my” job.
  • I welcome new employees and am very willing to pass on my knowledge.

In short: We welcome people with open arms and put hospitality at the heart of what we do every single day – we are respectful, attentive and open.

Sense of responsibility

We stand by what we do. We work reliably and act honestly towards all our partners and as a team. Having a sense of responsibility means we make conscious decisions and consider the impact of our actions. This means we adhere to the highest standards when it comes to safety and quality, use resources carefully and contribute to promoting healthy eating.

Specific examples in an everyday context:

  • I perform my duties diligently and in line with our quality standards.
  • I make sure that our work and guest areas are clean, safe and functional.
  • I am conscious about how I use food, materials, water, energy and time.
  • I talk openly about mistakes or problems, as this helps us learn from them.

In short: We act responsibly and make sustainable choices – we are considerate, sincere and reliable.

Forward-thinking

We develop together rather than stand still. In our dynamic working environment, this means recognizing opportunities early on and adapting to them. The idea is to be open to new things, ask questions and bring about improvements. It is important that we remain curious and critical and are willing to try things out.

Specific examples in an everyday context:

  • I offer ideas on how a workflow could be made simpler or faster.
  • I try out new approaches to tasks or new tools and am receptive to change.
  • I listen carefully to guests and colleagues and take feedback seriously.
  • I learn and continue my professional education to deliver even better work.

In short: We stay curious, think ahead and take bold action – we are dynamic, creative and ambitious.

Hands-on mentality

We tackle challenges directly and help each other move forward. We work according to clear processes and defined quality standards, yet remain sufficiently flexible to cater to the wishes of guests and customers. We do not become mired in detail, but instead seek efficient, effective solutions that work in practice and meet our quality standards.

Specific examples in an everyday context:

  • I follow our processes, but adapt accordingly if a situation calls for it.
  • I make pragmatic decisions and seek input from colleagues or managers if necessary.
  • I prioritize properly to make sure the essentials are not overlooked.
  • I am proactive and act independently when it comes to my specific duties.

In short: We tackle challenges together and find practical solutions – we are determined, focused and professional.
